The Louis II Stadium pitch project: one of FLexGrass's first projects

A partnership that began in 2021 and has continued in the years since.

AS Monaco and the Principality of Monaco have renewed their trust in FLexGrass throughout this period, allowing the Louis II Stadium pitch to feature both of our hybrid turf systems: the Horizon carpet system and the Vertix stitched, vertically reinforced system.

In the first year of the partnership between FLexGrass and AS Monaco, the club opted for the Vertix stitched hybrid system, reinforcing the pitch's natural rootzone with synthetic fibres injected vertically.

The following year we carried out a full pitch renovation: an extraordinary maintenance operation to remove the by-then worn natural turf and reseed the pitch.

In 2023 we removed the old playing surface and installed our Horizon hybrid carpet system, a horizontally reinforced hybrid turf, before returning the following year to the Vertix hybrid system — this time built for the first time with bio-based fibre (Biograss).

Being part of the history of the Louis II Stadium pitch underscores FLexGrass's standing as a leading company in the creation of hybrid sports surfaces for top international clubs.
