Every year, for the past 5 years, we have delivered the hybrid pitch at Groupama Stadium
Groupama Stadium in Lyon is one of the most iconic venues in French sport, hosting numerous fixtures throughout the year for Olympique Lyonnais, the French national football team, and European Professional Club Rugby competitions.
For this reason, the stadium's pitch relies on the Horizon hybrid system, a horizontally reinforced system engineered to ensure surface stability and fast installation.
Installation stages
Each year, the work is carried out in 3 stages:
- Daytime removal of the old pitch, with the vegetative layer separated from the synthetic component through screening
- Sub-base preparation and levelling
- Laying of the Horizon hybrid turf rolls
The full project timeline runs from 4 to 5 working days.
