Two months of work to the day for the construction of the new natural pitch at Stadio Ernesto Breda in Sesto San Giovanni

A new skin for the natural pitch at Stadio Ernesto Breda, where in June 2026 we were commissioned to fully rebuild the playing surface ahead of the partnership between Pro Sesto 1913 and FC Internazionale Milano: the Sesto San Giovanni pitch will in fact also host Inter U23's home fixtures and Inter Women's European matches for the coming season.

From the sub-base right up to the playing surface, our team coordinated and directly carried out every stage of the works:

• Preparation and levelling of the sub-base
• Construction of the drainage system
• Installation of the FLexHeat underfloor heating system
• Installation of the FLexAqua irrigation system
• Laying of the gravel drainage layer
• Construction of the sand profile / rootzone
• Installation of the natural turf
• Laying of synthetic turf in the perimeter areas
• Installation of the team benches

Among the challenges faced and overcome, the following are worth highlighting:

• Tight deadlines
• Logistical difficulties, as the sports centre is located in a semi-residential and heavily trafficked area
• A time of year marked by high temperatures

The new natural pitch at Stadio Ernesto Breda has already been inaugurated with the match between Inter U23 and Team Altamura, held last Saturday.
