A New Turf Surface for Palermo FC's Sports Centre
The project, which began in June 2024 and was completed a month later, saw the FLexGrass team carry out the renovation of two playing pitches at the Torretta sports centre, Palermo FC's training venue.
Working on two pitches simultaneously required precise coordination across all phases of the project, structured as follows:
- Removal of the old playing surface
- Construction of new drainage lines
- Construction of a new sand rootzone layer
- Installation of the Horizon turf system, seeded in situ
The Horizon turf system gives the pitch improved stability and significant wear resistance, allowing the team to train intensively throughout the season while considerably reducing maintenance costs.
