The Horizon hybrid system at Stade de la Meinau

A new Horizon hybrid turf surface at Strasbourg's Stade de la Meinau

In December 2025, Racing Club de Strasbourg decided to install the Horizon hybrid system at Stade de la Meinau, replacing the old turf surface with a next-generation hybrid pitch.

The project kept our team on site for approximately 5 days:

• the first two days were dedicated to removing the old playing surface; we also regenerated the rootzone and laser-graded the sub-base
• over the following three days, we moved on to laying the Horizon hybrid turf rolls

Pitch performance improvement

After the installation of the Horizon hybrid system at Stade de la Meinau, the club recorded a significant improvement in pitch performance, confirmed by the final standings of the BKT Ligue 1 2025/2026 Pitch Championship.

Racing Club de Strasbourg climbed from 17th to 13th place in the rankings, with the pitch's score rising from 16.90 to 17.44.

Reliability and commitment

Despite adverse weather conditions, with heavy rainfall throughout the project, the FLexGrass team completed the work within the agreed timeframe, thanks to precise teamwork, effective collaboration, and constant coordination.
